What is Pay Per Click (PPC) ?

PPC marketing is a form of online advertising in which advertisers accrue costs when users click their ads. Advertisers bid on the perceived value of a click in relation to the keyword, platforms and audience type in which it originates.

Now we discuss about 3 important element of PPC –

1. Audience: You all are know that what is the meaning of audience. But in PPC you need choose which type of audience you want to target. It’s mean if you running ad of sport shoes then your target audience are young boys and those people who are interested in the sport.

2. Platforms: There are two main platforms for advertisement –

          a) Google Ads: Google ads run on Google, search partner sites, and display network sites. Google ads is the largest pay-per-Click Platform. Google ads was launched in October 2000 .

          b) Bing Ads: Bing ads is a pay-per-click platform showing ads on the Bing and Yahoo networks. The platform also utilizes search partners. Bing ads is primarily keyword based advertising. As of 2017, Bing ads has 142 million unique searchers on the Bing network.

3. Keyword: Keyword is the most important element of PPC. PPC model is completely base on keyword because your ads will show when someone type particular keyword and you are already optimize that keyword for your ad.

Now we will understand why keyword is important through the example of Google. If someone search on the Google “online shoes shopping” then Google  provide him in the first page’s all keywords are PPC model or using Google ads and online shoes shopping is the particular keyword to the advertiser. Now if someone Clicks on the keyword then Google will deduct some money as much as the advertiser has fixed. For this reason it is called PPC means Pay Per Click. In simple sentence if someone click the keyword then advertiser pay for the click.
